Wiliam L. Jolly's body of work encompasses several different approaches to black-and-white silver halide photography on various type of paper - some of which are unobtainable in this decade. There are many groups of images ( San Francisco in the '70's and '80's, California and the Coast, Bay Area, Death Valley, Chicago in the '30's and '40's, Europe) developed in his darkroom with solarization and his innovative chemical solarization methods in mind.
